Hon Anamero Dekeri the House of Representatives member representing Etsako Federal constituency thanked party leaders, critical stakeholders, party members for honouring him with their esteemed presence.

 

He said his desire to occupy the Governorship seat of Edo State come 2024 is born out of the prevailing infrastructural decay, economic despair, pervading hopelessness, and abysmal leadership totally bereft of noble ideas for sustainable growth and development of a modern state.

 

Hon.Anamero Dekeri a renown philanthropist who has through his foundation – Anamero Idofe Anamero Foundation being involved in providing communities with infrastructures and amenities such as building of schools, roads, community town halls, industrial boreholes, solar powered street lights, transformers and lots more promised to use his ‘Venture of Hope’ philosophy to make Edo state great again.

 

If nominated and elected Hon Anamero Dekeri promised to domesticate All Progressive Congress (APC) manifestos in the state in the following areas

 

1. Education – considering the importance of education to all round development, “Our Government will on the first day in office introduce free and compulsory education for our children up to secondary school level, while students in tertiary institutions will enjoy bursary support”. In recognition of the critical role of teachers to quality education, they will be trained and retrained to enhance their teaching delivery; their remuneration will be enhanced to give meaning to life and attract competent personnel. Vocational and technical institutions will be supported to produce skill manpower for the state.

To give effect to his desire to lift the education status of the state, Hon Anamero Dekeri promised to pay the West African Examination Council fee for 10,000 indigent students from the 18 Local Government Area in the state

 

2. Health – a healthy society is a productive society. A qualitative health care delivery system is a must for the good people of Edo state by ensuring the right drugs are available and administered by motivated and well-trained health workers. Pregnant women will enjoy free ante-natal care and free health care for babies up to the age of 6. Equally, citizens of Edo state from the age of 70 will enjoy free health care services.

 

3. Agriculture and food security – Food is life. “Our government will commit a minimum of 6.5% of the state annual budget to the development of agriculture and its value chain. Modern famine implements and improved seedlings will be provided to support farmers while also encouraging modern farming techniques.

 

4. Infrastructural Development – Edo state roads, hospitals, schools, water and electricity will experience a total turnaround for the economic development of the state. There shall not be any discrimination between state and federal roads. There are Edo state citizens but don’t know where federal citizens inhabit the Edo state.

 

5. Industrialisation – Our Government shall drive industrialisation as vehicle for employment generation, poverty alleviation and improved standard of living. We shall encourage public -private partnership arrangements while enforcing ease of doing business mechanisms to attract investors.
